Course Types and Descriptions

Adult & Pediatric CPR/First Aid/ AED (Blended or Classroom) ​​The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (about 12 years and older) and pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years. Please Note* You must attend ALL components for the class you are enrolled. If you leave early you will not pass the class or receive certifications. (description taken from RedCross.org)​

BLS - ​​American Red Cross and American Heart Association BLS training classes can help you safely and effectively respond to medical emergencies in your community. By blending reading and lecture with hands-on experience, our Basic Life Support training allows you to learn new techniques and sharpen your skills so you can deliver care to those in need and help improve patient outcomes. Available for individuals and teams, our BLS courses are modular and flexible – and can help you meet your organization's standards for care.

Instructor Training Becoming an American Red Cross instructor or American Heart Assoc. Instructor is not only a smart career move, but also immeasurably rewarding! Instructor candidates must be able to provide proof of a current CPR/First Aid/AED or BLS (depending on  certification at Day 1 of Instructor Training.  Additionally, Instructor candidates should be prepared for 1-3 hours of pre-class, on-line work.  A certificate of completion will be provided for the pre-class work and must be presented on Day 1 of training.  Instructor Training is comprised of 1 in-class day (hours run approx 8am-5pm) and the cost ranges from $200-300.  Once the 1 day course is successfully completed, a certificate is issued and you may begin teaching!  Please be sure to let Lavender Grace Home Care know that you are taking the course and your plans for possibly joining our team.  We only accept professional, responsible and well-organized individuals who share a our passion for students and their exceptional training experience.
